Ari-Anna-D drops some Sting at DNA.

Just back from an extended stay in London, Anna came in to deliver a mellowed out version of Sting's "Fields of Gold" this week. .  Mark Whitcomb engineered and mixed.

Bill and Steve Roberts mixed some new songs with Brian Daly

Guitarist Bill Roberts is a regular here at DNA, having recorded with his band Blue Beyond, and also on many DNA Musiclab sessions.  Working with his brother Steve, who played keys and engineered, at his home studio, they recorded two of Bill's songs and two songs by the Unity Jazz Band.  They brought the Pro Tools sessions in to mix with Brian.

The Dirty Shirts working on a new album

The honky-tonk playing Madisonians spent two days tracking basics in Studio A with Brian Daly.  The band tracked everything live into Pro Tools, taking advantage of the excellent isolation and line of sight in the studio.  The album should be finished soon after a few sessions of overdubs and mixing.

Talia goes on tour supporting the amazing Andrea Bocelli

In August, Kelly Jackson brought her talented daughter Talia in to cut a demo to send to a Los Angeles contact as an audition for Andrea Bocelli's new album, which needed some younger voices in the studio.  Although she missed the deadline for submission, she landed a spot on the stage for part of Andrea's North American Tour!  Way to Go Talia!!  (that's her in the white sweater, immediately on Andrea's left)
