20 Reasons Taken

Madison based upbeat rock/hip-hop/funk. 20 Reasons Taken has been together since 2002, working hard at perfecting their craft and branching out to the masses. They released their first full-length album Redefine the Sound in September 2004. It was engineered, mixed and co-produced at DNA by Mark Whitcomb. You can hear songs from this album on radio stations throughout the United States and Canada. Redefine the Sound peaked at 16 on the CMJ charts. It was nominated for "Best Rock Album" at the Madison Area Music Awards.

In July 2008, the group released their second full-length record titled In The Current. During Summerfest 2010, the group was part of the Emerging Artist Series, and landed a track on the compilation CD. In July 2010, the group released their third full-length record titled Through This Fight (also engineered, mixed and co-produced by Whitcomb) which was later nominated for "Best Rock Album" at the Madison Area Music Awards. The group was also nominated for "Best Rock Group." The song "Calling Out" was used heavily for the 2011 Summerfest advertising campaign in commercials airing on stations like 102.1 (Milwaukee), 94.1 (Madison), Q101 (Chicago), along with sporting events at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee.

20 Reasons Taken is one of the most versatile bands in WI and has shared the stage with bands like Three Days Grace, Nonpoint, Drowning Pool, Public Enemy, Sick Puppies, Hurt, Sponge, Bobaflex, Royal Bliss, Oceans Divide, Soil, Me Talk Pretty, Primer 55, AM Taxi, American Bang, Quiet Drive, Sing It Loud, Throw The Fight, Red Line Chemistry, Lucky Boys Confusion, Ludo, Seven Day Sonnet, The Action Blast, The Goodyear Pimps, The Crest, Danger Is My Middle Name, Chasing Taylor, The Rusty P's, Goddess and She, The Bodeans, and The Gufs.
