Kevin Tubb

Kevin Tubb lived in Austin, TX for twenty years. Kevin was influenced by local musicians such as Joe Ely, Townes Van Zandt, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and John Inmon. He was given his first guitar by Gary P. Nunn.

Kevin has recently gone back to Austin to record a CD of all original songs with some amazing players such as John Inmon, Cindy Cashdollar, Glen Fukenaga, Paul Pearcy, and Lloyd Maines. John Inmon (producer and guitar) played guitar with J.J. Walker for 20 years and has worked with David Grisman, Peter Rowan and many more. Cindy Cashdollar (steel guitars, slide guitars) has played with the likes of Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, and Lyle Lovett. Glen Fukenaga and Paul Pearcy (bass and drums) played on the Dixie Chics Grammy-winning album entitled Home.

Kevin has also opened for Junior Brown, The Flatlanders, Sam and Dave, Flock of Seagulls, Split Enzs, and others. Kevin released two albums in the early '80's and two more albums recently. Since he moved to Madison in 1996, he formed a band called the Welldiggers, an acoustic quartet that performed his original music as well as other texas musicians' work.
