Stephanie Rearick

Stephanie Rearick is a pianist, vocalist, songwriter, and sometimes a trumpeter. She is one of the founding members of Madison, Wisconsin's now-defunct garage-cabaret, circus-rock outfit The Coma Savants. She regularly performs solo on the aforementioned instruments plus a little electronic manipulation.

"Rearick faithfully follows her muse... allowing listeners into her oddball, often dark and always fascinating musical personality, which encompasses pop, jazz, classical and experimental tendencies."

Goldmine Star Belly (Uvulittle Records, 2005) is Rearick's third solo studio release. It won "Best Unique Album" at the 2006 Madison Area Music Awards. Rearick's music is featured in Saving Jackie, a film by SA Burks that screened at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. Rearick also appears on two CDs by Dr. Eugene Chadbourne, Year of the Chadfest and Leaders Split Crack (Blues 2005).  Stephanie Rearick won the 2004 Madison Area Music Awards (MAMAs) for Best Classical Album (The Bucket Rider) and Best Classical Artist.
