Take The Potion

Romero - Take The Potion album art

Nationally touring stoner metalheads Romero just released their full-length album, Take the Potion. The album was recorded during several hazy sessions throughout 2012 at DNA, and was mixed and produced by Mark Whitcomb and the band. Phillip Cope at The Jam Room in Columbia, SC mastered the album. Cope has worked with other metal titans such as Kylesa, Baroness and Black Tusk.

The album has already received praise from metal blogs. Stoner HiVe said Take the Potion is “a kamikaze assault on everything the stoner scene hold dear by way of Classic Metal and old-fashioned Doom.” The Sludgelord claims “the album is brilliantly produced as you can hear the gigantic riffs to loud earth-shattering perfection.”

You can stream Take the Potion for free or name your price to download the album at Romero’s Bandcamp page. If you long for physical media (as we all still do), you can purchase the CD for a very demonic $6.66. Soon, the Kickstarter-funded vinyl pressings will be complete and you can nab an LP for a slightly less Satanic $16.66. Hey, even the dark prince himself has to cover his overhead.

Check out their Bandcamp page to listen to the album.
